    Pretty cool. I wonder what led Google to develop this and how Apple will react.

      I wonder if Apple will lock it down further. If they did, it could cause some backlash from users of older devices that are no longer receiving updates.

      That being said, there is already an open source option that is completely cross-platform in LocalSend.

            That great, if you’re both connected to the same WiFi network and LocalSend comes pre-installed on both of your devices.

                Because people with iPhones, famously, will refuse to even try to include anyone without an iPhone if it means they need to do anything whatsoever, such as install a new app

        Indeed, this is what I use… Jist i stall Airdrop ffs.

        Zero chance of me using Airdop, similary if iMessage was opened, zero chance there as well.

      That’s interesting because this article from Ars talks about how this is a new standard that Apple was made to adopt as part of the DMA.
