The city of Detroit pays tribute to its iconic star of the 80s with a statue, thanks to the contributions of a crowdfunding campaign.

Unfortunately there was no location from the movie that was filmed in Detroit.

The exterior locations were shot in Dallas, TX, and Pittsburgh, PA.
