The US always has been an extremely hard line right for decades. Even “leftist” politicians there have opinions that may make a right wing politician in Europe blush l, so what can you expect from “US centrists” except more right wing bullshit?

Im Australian, I conflate all centrists as the same. There is no middle ground to be had afaic.
You either support capitalism or you don’t at this stage. Centrists are right-wing in that regard.
