I experience something similar to an impulse buy, where I see a product on the shelf and immediately want it, except usually I don’t actually buy it and then walk out of the store without it and forget I ever wanted it. Anyone else do that?

Lacking object permanence has done wonders for my financial health.
I only buy stuff if I’ve been obsessing over it for a few days. Basically buying it just to free up that head-space.
I am the same way! Come across something of interest, research it heavily for days-weeks, and then finally purchase it to clear my head. Tends to help curve potential regret with more expensive purchases.
Yeah, sometimes when I’m in a store. I guess it shows how marketing works.
