This week, I found out that there are two levels of ownership for mods on piefed and not on lemmy, so when I moved my account most recently, I lost the ability to add new mods to my communities, which is fun. I think I’m gonna combine them into some kinda general woso community (rather than trying to fix it) and then shutter the ones I’m the only mod for, but I haven’t figured out a plan yet or like asked other folks what they’d prefer, so that’s on my to-do list.

People feel a little less chatty (off on summer vacations?), but I have gotten a few really great questions from some new names, so I really enjoyed that!

I’ve been the de facto leader of !animals@lemmy.world now too, and that is going well. It’s not like owls are the only animals I love, so it’s nice having a miscellaneous place for the rest.

I’m tempted to ask to be mod there so I can change the banners and such, but I don’t like being the boss of things. The person who is mod seems to come on for a day every few weeks, but doesn’t do anything with the community. I mainly want someone else to do it, so nobody can complain about me since people never seem to appreciate mods, even good ones.
