    That seems very specific!

Is this the PS2/GC game I’m thinking of from the early 2000s? Did it end up getting ported to PC/newer consoles?

Is there a scene these days that does speedruns or competitive or something?

Yes, it’s the PS2/GC game from the early 2000’s. As far as I am aware the scene is pretty much completely dead. The latest re-release was on the Nintendo Switch on the 28th of March 2019, and someone submitted a new WR 5 months ago on the Xbox Series S. So there’s still a pulse, but not much of one lol. This game just has a special place in my heart and I wanted to see if anyone else here actually remembers it or still holds the same reverence for it as I do

I feel like a post in one of the general gaming comms may have sufficed. I can’t see enough extended interest or content to get people to sub to an entire comm about a very niche dead game.

Love the passion! And best of luck with it!

But generally I’ll say I haven’t seen individual game communities do well here, even for popular series. So set expectations accordingly.

I appreciate the heads-up, and honestly the original reddit community was pretty much completely dead as well, so I’m not really expecting much to come of it. I’m mainly creating this and some other communities here because there are subreddits dedicated to them, but since I don’t want to use reddit I’m creating them here instead. Whether they’re much busier if at all is not an expectation for me, i’d just like to centralize my communities here moving forward -

Welcome, glad to have you here on fediverse! Always nice to see another person posting here instead of Reddit.

The crowd is much smaller here, so each person’s contributions make a bigger difference!

Niche communities you start, will probably be only you posting. But that’s OK. I’d say don’t be afraid to cross-post to larger ones.

I appreciate that! I’m not sure which communities I could cross-post cel-damage content to, but I like that that’s a native feature.
