Looking around here, “Boys will be boys” extends to their spyware murderbots too I guess.

I can even kind of understand picking a godlike person to worship at the fartmaker of. But like, people choose lonnie and rump, and that fucking floors me.

To make these widespread, cities infrastructure will have to be built in ways that are uniform and friendly to AI, which means everywhere will start to look exactly the same and it work be for the aesthetics.

“Crash” seems hyperbolic, but clearly in the video the driving software choose to push through bollards rather than back up to get out of a prohibited part of the road.

Really a stretch to call that a crash. How did it get in there, that’s what I’d like to know. Poor road design and controls is likely the culprit here and I’d be surprised if human drivers haven’t done it. Hard to say not seeing the lead up to the little trap area.

Thanks Elon, definitely “bad road design”, at play here. Not the car’s fault at all.

Fuck Elon and all that, but don’t let your hatred blind you to the tech and the problem of autonomous vehicles. Isn’t this the technology community?

I also didn’t say it wasn’t the cars fault. I said we need to see what lead up to this because it’s really hard to tell what the actual issue is.

tech and the problem of autonomous vehicles

What do you mean here? What is the problem in your view?

Also, no human driver would have been confused by that situation.

Video doesn’t show what lead up to it, so how are you basing that opinion?

Not sure why you got down voted. I agree that road sign is crap and as Texan I will do the same if I were that spot. 😀
