Now I understand why it’s called a cell phone

Massive annoying bumps to make the rest of the phone 0.1mm thinner. No camera bumps should be the priority design, not every increasingly large ones that even cases can’t obscure now.

It’s trivial to make the battery thicker to match the camera bump. Thin phones have thin camera bumps that still stick out, it’s totally a design choice.

I’ve never had an issue with the camera bump tbh

Pretty sure it only affects those who go commando with their phone and don’t use a case.

Problem is, cases dont even handle it anymore. The bumps are too big that you are gonna need a thick case.

Samsung S23-24 is a good example of an acceptable bump, a case flattens that out and isnt bulky.

I actually rather like having tactile feedback when I’m being a fat fuck and covering the lens with my finger

It doesn’t have to be 2 meters thicc tho, even just a few mm around the camera will do

If cell phones used rotary dialers, butt-dialing would basically disappear.

No sir, your slopometer is incorrectly calibrated.

It was an electronics kit sold in 2020.

Why would they craft it with misaligned/crooked buttons and cutoff text? I want to look it up, what is it called?

Looks like it is genuinely rotary dial design. Those aren’t buttons, they are holes. The text is on the black background, the clear plastic above it has holes cut out. There’s quite a bit of thickness to that plastic and it’s some distance from the black backing. Looks very much like a rotary phone looked, though understandable that most folks haven’t seen one up close.

I didn’t mean the rotary buttons being misaligned, i can talk the perspective (i have a rotary phone in a box somewhere). It’s the other buttons that are wonky… What does the lambda button do??

Didn’t we give that up already? My previous phone had 4 lenses on the back but my current has 2. And I still only ever use one of them.

My phone changes lenses automatically as I zoom the camera in and out. So I use them even though I’m not really actively choosing to use a different lens.
