I noticed a very sharp sound at first too. Make sure to make use of the dampening pads that come with it as the other user said, then EQ to taste. I was very impressed once I got it to my preferences.

So far it’s the only closed back that fully isolates me from the outside world while not sounding like your head is in a shoebox.
