We are well past this stage. I know so many people who will, to this very moment argue that worrying about any of this is just being too political, or that this is just regular left vs. right political fighting that doesn’t really have an impact on us. Same people tell you that if protestors would just let “law enforcement” do their job, none of this would have happened.

It’s going to get real bad, and it’s going to have to directly impact many more people before this country cares. I’m trying not to let this lead to apathy on my part, I’m still looking for ways to fight. We all need to.

I have. I’m working on consolidating and figuring out a plan. I’m admittedly less astute financially than I should. Didn’t really expect all this shit to happen.

She’s antivax, especially when it comes to the mRNA vaccines, she claims they are a government experiment that we were forced to undergo. She conveniently ignores that the phizer was available and you weren’t mandated unless you wanted access to public services.

They would lose me, if I had an alternative. In my neighborhood it’s cable or 1mbps DSL. Neighborhoods across the street to the east and west both have nice and cheap fiber but my neighborhood is older than one and less affluent than the other.

I have someone like that in my life. To this day they think masking and “forced gene modifications” are a bigger deal than what happening now. I’ve been lectured so many times about how anger at what’s going on is just being political.

The resulting power vacuum would result in something far worse. Our best chance is to revive this dead democracy and fix the shit that allowed this to happen.

Still very worth setting up. I have a node that runs in my attic, and a few that I can take around with me. I can get good single most anywhere in my neighborhood, and I have enough nodes nearby that I can pretty much communicate with people all over the metro area (I’m in the twin cities).

Right, it’s not just capitalism, many systems reward such behavior. But we are in a capitalist society now, that does not work for those reasons. Yes, bad laws and regulations are the problem, but they are there because the unscrupulous set them in favor of themselves.

I’m no fan any ism, they are frameworks that all need careful, strong laws and regulations. Don’t get me wrong, some are better starting points but it takes diligence and an engaged populace to keep them working.

The problem is, normal people got complacent while the malignant ones continued to ruthlessly play the game.

Why doesn’t anyone see this for what it is. They put monitoring for certain keywords but fucked up the code and it blocked some users through incompetence. They fixed the filters, but I guarantee they are sending reports to the White House…

What got us here is a complicated but simple story. Those without morals have no problem cheating the system and using other people. Capitalism rewards this behavior so it as inevitable that the unscrupulous will continue to vacuum up the money and power. We are experiencing the end game of this social construct.
