Plan something 5-days in advance to do something.

Reach out 1-day ahead and ask if they are still up for doing it. It provides them with an out, and opens up your day tomorrow in the off chance that they have to cancel.

On the day of the planned activity, let them know you’ll be heading out shortly to meet them at x place at y time.

For extra soft plans (i.e. do you want to get together and study later this evening?), still text before hand about an hour or so as it gives them a quick reminder, and allows you to alter plans.

Communication works both ways, and sometimes people need reminders. If they don’t respond, just let them know you didn’t hear from them and you’re going to do something else. Don’t freak out about it. People waffle on things all the time.

Honestly, you should really do the opposite of just about anything that Boebert says.

There’s thousands upon thousands of famous people. Why waste your time following or supporting someone that you feel is not a good person? Turns out a lot of people feel that same way, hence someone being “cancelled”. No one went on a “hardcore vindictive streak” to get these people cancelled.

He gave them $1,600 in stimulus checks. Some of the poorer people think he’ll make things more affordable for people, lower costs, make crypto better, and essentially just rain down money. They have to think of their families future, and apparently they think Trump will do that. They don’t care what he’s done, he’s a means to an end, and if they can wrap an American flag around him, profess him the new Messiah, and ban abortions to do it, they will.

Republicans are either extremely ignorant or they just lack any and all empathy. They get their news from Fox that shields them from the truth, and they live in constant fear of blood-drinking evil liberals, illegal racist/murderer aliens, and that their money is being stolen from them by undesirables that feed off the system.

Their entire world view is a facade to make rich people richer and their ignorance of that makes them expendable pawns. It’d be comical if it wasn’t so tragic…

Peaceful protests happen literally everyday in the US in nearly every city and hear nothing about them.

I’m not going to say they’re not real or not sentient. But I will absolutely say that they are selfish. They lack the empathy required to understand how things will affect others. They lack the willingness to sacrifice for the greater good. They lack the humility required to understand that they could be wrong, and the critical reasoning required to change their views in the face of new evidence.

Almost every conservative I’ve ever met is either extremely rich or lives in microcosm. Hell, I’ve got extended family that have never travelled outside of their hometown and anything foreign or different to them is either ridiculed or shunned.

They want a social hierarchy, and they want their place in it preserved. God forbid people get equitable standing.

I had the speed and trajectory calculated every 0.1s so it was relatively accurate. I was planning to add in boosters and parachutes, but I never got that far. The best I can. It was pretty cool as it would correctly show orbits and the effect of atmospheric drag if you didn’t fully descend in the first orbit around the planet, so you’d just see it loop around several times until it bled off enough speed to eventually descend into the atmosphere. I think I managed to get coreliolis effects added before I stopped messing with it.

We’ll that’s huge. NumPy is fantastic. Had to use it for a bunch of linear algebra calculations for a Mars Atmospheric Descent Calculator. Fully mapped the trajectory and flight path as it entered the Martian Atmosphere. Was a cool little program…
