Fan attendance was never the main issue at all. We showed up pretty fucking well to support a losing product right up until the lockout anyways

It’s irritating how so many people think that nobody showed up to the games and we deserved to lose the team. It was a complete fabrication by Michael Heisley after he blatantly lied about his intentions when buying the team

In hindsight it was objectively a terrible business decision as Vancouver would go on to become one of the wealthiest cities in all of North America. Not only that but basketball is and has been wildly popular here for a decade plus

Everything about that relocation was just so, so slimy. Stu Jackson and Michael Heisley are 2 of my least favorite people of all time. Making poor draft choices and not having a great team for 6 years is not enough to warrant relocating the franchise, and I think any sane fan would agree.
