It’s not truly smug until the arms get squiggly
I lived in Luton for a bit for a UK job, let me tell ya, I got to see the best and brightest of your country I think. Brexit was a surprise for me like it was for most, but only half of a surprise after what I’d seen ten years before in big Lute.
Although I was told I don’t know what the real british experience is until I’ve seen the Bude tunnel in person. This place changes people, so I’ve been told. Can’t wait to visit it one day and get my spiritual awakening.
Based on some of the responses I got to this recent smuggie on other platforms.
You wish reality was different and yet it’s not?
Typical hypocrisy!
Me, I’m a tasteful person.
I only listen to https://youtu.be/FQnD4rt8Vog
On a loop.
All day.
Every day.

Not a single smartphone in sight.
Just a plane living in the moment.

Yeah that’s what I thought too, thanks for confirmation!
Thanks a lot, I appreciate this!
I actually do plan to make a c/smugideologyman on lemmy.
Give me a week or two, I have other things to sort first, then I’ll get to it. Already have the okay from the subreddit’s mod team!
Do you think there’d be a point to making a separate c/community just for my comics/content?
🦀🦀🦀 Marine Le Pen is going to jail 🦀🦀🦀
…now imagine if the USA had done the same for Trump between 2020 and 2024
The issue with smaller instances is it becomes hard for people to discover them.
But then this community here is doing fine so…
It should.
Actually I see nothing stopping me from doing it other than choosing the correct instance.
Would lemmy.world be the right place?
You know what they say in France: never get off the train at mole station.
Although your solution is objectively the best, drawing your own version of memes is a pretty fun activity!
I noticed I sometimes “come up” with “brand new” comic ideas that are actually something I saw elsewhere years ago in a meme or a tweet then completely forgot about, and go “oh, right” when people point it out.
It’s unironically hard to not plagiarize due to the way the brain works, I feel for the author of this comic.
