I wear pants I got at goodwill and bedrock sandals most of my off days, but I will shamelessly wear whatever watch in my collection cause I don’t care about that other stuff. It’s all about the watch!

I’d say the main reason for the price drop is you are completely losing the factory warranty that comes with it buying off the grey market. And truth be told, ALL watches are overpriced haha. My buddies $30 casio made it down the river just as easily as my Bremont lol.

A three hand chronometer for like 2300 bucks. I can’t think of another major offering who can match that price for a COSC certified watch. Also fun fact the spirit collection was designed to specifically appeal to the North American market. With the feeding frenzy on the Zulu timers I feel like they did well

This is exactly where I steer my guests who have a healthy price point in the 2k-4k tops range. Over the course of 2 grand you basically have the run of the collection. Whereas you can come in with 5k to spend and still maybe not be able to fit the Tag Carerra you wanted into your budget where for 5k on an aquaracer will get you something special and you’ll still have money left over to buy your sweetie a fancy dinner with an old wine to show off your new watch hahaha

It’s super funny you say that. I had the previous brand president stop into my store about two years ago and she was saying the exact same thing! That’s why they are displayed under 3 categories now to make it easier to digest. The sport, the Classic, and the heritage watchmaking or something or other like that. And I think everyone agrees that a more streamlined collection with variety in dial and color is superior to the old shotgun approach of make tons of watches to fit everyone’s needs. I think companies on the whole are starting to lean into more of a niche styling rather than trying to do it all so to speak

Ya. At the price most of these watches would have to sacrifice a lot to show off a workhorse movement in terms of cost to manufacture. The Master collection does some heavy lifting to make up for the lack of exhibition case backs through their ranges though. A good talking point on value though. Thanks for the spark of thought!

It’s hard to be the little brother to Omega and some wouldn’t even consider them that haha. I won’t sugar coat it, there are better made watches out there, but I do believe that what they offer at their price point is quite the steal

It’s a 40mm. So I’d say in some circles that could be considered modest haha. Maybe the angle makes it look like the back lugs hang of my wrist?

For sure. I actually work at an AD that carry’s all 3 of those brands and even then there is just something lacking. Not in quality per se, but, idk I love the fume on AnOrdain or however it is watches, but I just don’t like the watch you know? I respect it and they are gorgeous, just not for me. Any good recs on fume dials in the 2k-4k price range that I should check out? Also I’m uncultured swine so when I refer to fume I’m also referring to enamel dials too which I know is an entirely different thing, but the effect is similar to the uncultured eye like myself haha. Love kurono I think that’s how it’s spelled, but can’t stomach the flipper markup. Thanks!

I love and have been looking for a good fume dial and I love the look of the Manhattan. I thought, “that’s gonna be a for sure swipe of the card” and then I saw it. Kinda lackluster for me. I think the cotes de geneve dial is my personal preference. So the hunt continues.

Holy crap. What a fantastic watch. I’ve never seen, or at least paid any mind to, the Tudor glamour on a strap. That dial finishing with the high polish case is incredible. Just had to comment because this stopped my scrolling dead. Knowing tudors price point this thing looks like it cost double what it did. AND it’s got the C-word on the dial. All in all fantastic.
