Never knew my mutant blue switch keeb would come in handy one day. I’ve lubed the blue switches and added foam and tapes so now it sounds like a clicky-thocky blue-brown switches keeb.

You read my mind… I just spent an hour learning the basics and finally took off for the first time. Landed on a planet, got off the shuttle, walked on a wall and died a few steps in without even knowing why. The lack of quick save option is also a little frustrating. But I’ll keep at it for a while. Hopefully it pays off!
What are the chances… I’m waiting for the game to load for the first time when I saw this comment. Perfect timing. Alright, diving in right now!
Just finished Death Stranding. It’s mostly great but somehow crashed a fair bit halfway through the game. No issues or whatsoever in early and late to end game.
There’s a game called Journey which is… mystically beautiful? It’s mystical because it’s basically just a walking sim with a few puzzles to solve in between, but yet it really draws out the emotions. I’ve played many games like this but nothing trumps Journey yet.
It’s mostly single player but if you play it online, once in a while you’ll come across a fellow traveler from another instance whom you can share the journey with for a while, or not.
Just as Gaben once said, piracy is almost always a service problem, not a pricing problem.
It’s not that we can’t afford it, we just don’t like getting treated as cash cows and idiots. Give them an inch and they’ll take a mile, and before you know it, everything will be locked behind paywalls.
Congrats! If you’re someone like me who owns a decent PC but no longer enjoys sitting in front of one, definitely get yourself a dock so you can hook it up to your TV. They cost around $30 and is a great investment. Just remember to take the casing off (if you use one) if you’re planning to have your games running at anything between 1080p to 4K, and use FSR to reduce the load. I find the Deck heats up a fair bit even in winter.
Owning a Steam Deck really got me back into gaming. I carry it to work to play during breaks and hook it back up to my TV when I get home.
“Maaaa, someone broke into our house to fix our doors again.”
Go to your FF app, Settings, Private Browsing, and enable Open Links in a Private Tab. The bar on the top of the embedded browser in your Lemmy app should turn purple if it works.
