I would go back to android if they had iMessage. That’s really what’s keeping me on iPhone.

I like having Siri in my car when she works. Like when my phone properly wirelessly connects. But when it doesn’t, I hate it, and would be better without it.
Also why the hell can’t CarPlay use the radio, when the car has a radio. Why can’t those two things talk to each other. Fucking dumb.
I have a rule regarding what packages I allow myself to use. I must be able to re-write whatever functionality I’m using in the package. That way when it doesn’t work as expected, I either write my own, or debug their code.
Zoning reforms sound great.
One of my biggest issues with increasing housing is that many Americans store their wealth in their house. Home ownership is the retirement plan for many, or the generational wealth plan. So how can we build housing without devaluing existing housing?
The answer is to build more multi-family housing, which doesn’t really compete with single family housing for price. The former is mostly for rent, while the later is for owning.
Unironically hope Kamala watergated him and gets away with it
Other countries have capitalism and they have transit.
Taco Bell still has $1.25 bean and rice burritos where I live. It’s like 400 calories so it’s a pretty good deal.
Transition to renewable energy faster
Consider environmental pollution an act of war, because we really are getting to that point. Yes this will be seen as the west “pulling the ladder back up after themselves”; ask the corals if they give a shit
Those won’t be enough, maybe we can put some mirrors in orbit to cool the world down just a tiny tiny bit, then de-orbit it the mirrors.
Any policy can disproportionately affect the birth rate of one group vs another. Is improving abortion access eugenics? Is incentivizing having children via the tax code eugenics because those incentives are stronger for some groups compared to others? Is for-profit healthcare eugenics because it makes it more difficult for poor folks to safely have children? Are fossil fuels eugenics because they lead to higher infant mortality in poorer industrial areas?
No, none of those things are eugenics
By that argument, the lower rate of reproduction is western countries is eugenics, since it’s a consequence of policy (education).
Actually one of the best things that poor folks can do to escape generational poverty, is to have fewer kids. That way, kids inherit a larger share of their grandparents assets, and more can be passed down. Generational land ownership, for example, is extremely powerful. Fewer children per family also lowers the financial burden of education, enabling better education for comparatively fewer people. That’s not eugenics, it’s smart family planning.

RIP tuvix. Wrong call on that one. He deserved to live.
I think you should get more votes if you DONT have children. And the government should give out free sterilizations, and if you can prove you’re sterilized you get to take paternity leave twice.
What’s the deal with Asia
Fantastic point.
Literally any straight white man center-right democrat born after 1968 would wipe the floor with trump.
And before anyone jumps down my throat, that’s not what I want. I want president Cortez. But presidents are chosen by money and by about 10,000 generically stupid swing voters in Michigan and Pennsylvania.
Passenger safety features have become very expensive and make cars less maintainable and therefore more wasteful. Backup cameras and parking sensors and merging sensors/indicators.
Loosen passenger safety regulations while they’re at it. It’s become insane. Cars are safe enough for occupants, and have been for two decades at least.
Meanwhile, maybe we can make pedestrian safety more of a priority.
It uses Wi-Fi and has sms fallback and works with iMessage
