  • The counsel’s report noted that the government’s response to Gomez’s request for release “deliberately did not disclose that Mr. Gomez faced awarrant related to alleged homicide.”

It also noted that the DHS press release singled out “Judge DuBose by name, criticizing her ruling and falsely suggesting that she knowingly ‘released a violent criminal illegal alien who is wanted for murder in the Dominican Republic.’”

So ICE withheld history of a violent person and when the judge ordered them released, the violent person became violent. Now ICE is trying to say “see! this activist judge is releasing bad brown people” as a way to remove her from the bench.

Markwayne Mullen should answer these questions while in front of Congress. Get some of this out in the video news cycle.

  • Authorities in Japan have raided six of the country’s largest ice-cream firms for allegedly colluding to raise the price of their products, provoking anger from frozen snack aficionados as they face a cruel summer ahead.

Officials from the Japan Fair Trade Commission (JFTC) on Tuesday carried out searches of the corporate headquarters of Akagi Nyugyo, Ezaki Glico, Lotte, Meiji, Morinaga Milk Industry and Morinaga & Co due to suspicions they had violated antimonopoly laws.

Akagi Nyugyo was the ice cream company that publicly apologized for raising the price of their ice cream ¥10. Hopefully this humbles them again.

  • Europe fabs have been tried and cheap fabs work but the premier small dies are unable to find profit. Even US chips are bigger, older models. Taiwan is really the only place to get world class technology at an affordable price.

Europe might sell a lot of chips but “winning” is a very loose criteria that doesn’t apply when comparing technological sophistication of chips or innovation.

There is something between this and redneck engineering where a piece of plywood has ATX holes for a mobo cooled by a standing fan. The electric guts hanging out in the open, a danger to me and itself. Mounted to a wall like a warped portrait of a landscape that no one sees. The future is not shiny and chrome but it works.

  • The drivetrain doesn’t have a place to live. The nose of a truck holds the guts, freeing up space for load in the other half. Moving the guts to a cab-over would shrink the available engine size. Having all the power train to one side would require entirely new engineering to have 2 double length axles with no counter spinning force, so torque on the frame would twist the chassis up at the far point like a lever.

Or it would be underpowered to prevent it, effectively a kei truck engine in a full sized truck body. It is going to work much harder in some way to be as successful as existing trucks.
