In my country the vast majority of people can’t afford to live alone, because housing’s too expensive for a single person. It has always been so, traditionally you lived with your parents until you got married, then with your families’ help you’d get somewhere to live, if you were well off enough they’d help you start a mortgage, etc.

Nowadays families can’t set aside that kind of savings anymore, for the most part, so the help they can provide is severely reduced.

I’ve been printing long enough to remember binder clips. IIRC they were originally a reaction to the magnetic sheets originally used getting significantly weaker as temps go up.

No, magsheets didn’t exist back then, we used mostly glass beds coated with hairspray, kapton tape or whatever we thought would work at the time… the clips were to hold the glass to the heatbed (usually a pcb heater).

And the Steam discount golden age ended years ago, nowadays it’s much more expensive. Not to mention the bundles of the time.
