News@lemmy.world•‘Damning’ New Evidence Suggests Trump Stole Classified Documents to Advance Business Interests
441·4 days ago…and they’re just now figuring this out?!

Gotcha! I have the same off cuts laying about in various pull ups and sundry hides. It’s an excellent idea for embellishment!
The Minolta was my dad’s that he had bought when I was a kid and I found it when he was moving a couple of years ago. Like with the leatherwork, I’m moving back to the tactile experiences in life. My career has been in technology, but I’m finding I’m wanting to get back in touch with the analog.
Out of curiosity, why the veg tan over the flash contact? Dust protection?
Also, I like the wrap for the camera. I have an late 70’s Minolta that I’ve thought about doing a wet mold in veg tan for.

18·17 days agoAgreed. An engaging character that, like Star Trek is oft wont to do, has an interesting arc that challenges the status quo and pushes for understanding.
What’s the difference? You’re their all-time best seller!

News@lemmy.world•Trump Says It’s Actually ‘A Good Thing’ Ford Can’t Hire Enough Workers: ‘You’re Gonna Have a Thing Called Robots’
1·2 months agoFair enough.
It’s really too bad we live in a world where even quoting words from a 1930’s Boston satirist, to make a metaphorical and illustrative point, could be remotely construed as an act of violence.
Oh, would you like at that! We’re already back to the “unprofessionally childish” bit again! 🤣

1·2 months agoNo worries, and take heart. There’s plenty of us here that are ready to “…hoist the black flag, and start slitting throats”, we’re just waiting for some of the others to catch up. If nothing else, Americans have traditionally been slow on the uptake, but quick to adapt once the last vestiges of comfort are perceived to be fleeting. At least that’s the hope I personally cling to.
