Nice try Winnie.
Just today spent way over an hour setting up a Chromecast with Google TV at father in laws today. Factory reset that thing four times. Used every wifi connection I could find and finally got it working by hot-spotting my own phone and setting it up.
Not buying more Google. It’s just hot garbage at this point.
The plagiarism machines aren’t what you think they are.
I’m still confounded by workplaces that run the old nineties way of VPN handshake by browser. Clunky, clumsy just straight up bad digital workplace setup.
There is no reason to not do it the modern way where all the handshaking and connecting is done under the hood, hidden from the user. At the most you as a user should only see the tiny little systray icon switch how it looks.
But instead use…?

I know it’s just a comic but I still disagree with it’s message. Phones are essentially mini-computers connected to the Internet which has the potential for endless dopamine-inducing entertainment and we carry them around with us 24/7. A very powerful dopamine-pump, with us around the clock, every day. This has actually never happened before in history.
This is from July 11th. Nothing new as of now that I’ve seen.
But closer to October we should be on the lookout.
