  • About fucking time.

Citizen’s United (and similar corruption) took away our ability to regulate tech billionaires, but we still out number them.

If they want to stop being scared, they can curb their parasitic behaviors and return the billions they have extracted.

Edit: Getting off of the list of the world’s billionaires is a path filled with fancy meals, accolades, ribbon cutting ceremonies, and thank-you letters from happier children.

Billionaires have a moral obligation to a cushy job (become non-billionares), and they aren’t doing it, today.

  • I loved that show.

“Your white guy does all that stuff for you?”

    “Yeah. He’s great.”

    “Can we trade white guys?”

Side splitting gags in the middle of a pretty solid message about how technology can systemicly abuse people.

“Apparently if we continued with our hiring plan, we would end up employing the sum total of humanity, and I guess doing that is illegal in some of the countries Viridian operates in, so they had to give in and actually fix the problem.”

  • How is this different from what anybody who hires or employs people do?

    Fun question.

    1. Most employees will someday no longer be day-one idiot employees. (conttasted with AI)
    2. Many managers take a class or something to know how to get results from their employees. (in contrast with many people given unlimited token allowances)
    3. Most employees are capable of a relationship and even loyalty, if any is merited. (in contrast with corporate AI API vendors who only want to extract wealth)
