The commands in Excel are localised too, and if you want to change languages you’d have to install some language pack. And I think that due to admin lockdown policies in Windows, if you have to work on a restricted company machine, you won’t even be able to do that because you don’t have permission to install stuff

News@lemmy.world•Racists are now openly targeting Indian Americans
35·5 days agoWhaaat, MAGA being racist and hostile towards members of their own cesspool? Who woulda thought?
Patel should’ve seen this coming, or at least have the epiphany now. But he probably won’t care, given that he’s an asshole who’s in it for his own benefit…

Memes@sopuli.xyz•You can always emulate Call of Duty for the DS
1·5 days agoProbably not that severe, but I wouldn’t bite the bullet. I think running malware, or in this case, RCE exploits, should be given more testing under Linux Wine/Proton. Also depends on how permissive your system is, I think (i.e. SELinux vs normal kernel, file permissions etc.)

24·6 days agoOne has to be careful when going online on “old” CoDs, because most of them have an RCE exploit and won’t get (at least officially) patched

Canada@lemmy.ca•Should parents who refuse childhood vaccines be liable if their choice harms someone else’s kid?
8·9 days agoThanks, appreciate the write-up! I’m just wondering that myself, my question wasn’t meant as an anti-vax post.

Canada@lemmy.ca•Should parents who refuse childhood vaccines be liable if their choice harms someone else’s kid?
4·9 days agoThat makes sense, thanks for explaining! I do agree that vaccines are the best way to contain a virus. I was just wondering this, how a unvaccinated person could pose harm to others, vaccinated or not. But yeah, it’s better to not take that risk.
