The culture war is an important piece of the conservative agenda- it isolates and eliminates the various groups that will group together to support non-conservatives.

Post Offices are directly mentioned in the constitution as a job of the federal gov. Its so crazy to me how much cover the US media gives republicans when they do their nonsense.
hell yeah those guys fucking ripped shit up
This guy needs more taxes to pay. He’s clearly got too much time on his hands.
I was thinking it was more to do with dancing, possibly even music. It could even be something really weird.
Usually the way to identify if its about hunting/war or not is to find the exceptions and links: do hunters that perform really, really well have 3x the visual cortex neurons? Is it a socialization thing where doing certain tasks results in higher brain differentiation?
There’s a lot of questions
Seems like a win win
I laughed for like a solid minute at that one.
he did have one answer to the obamacare question he had the “concepts of a plan” which is almost as stupid/funny as saying “my dog ate it”
It would have been the funniest thing in the world if Harris had latched on to that and been like "Maybe you should take another 6-10 years to golf and think about it then come back. "
if anyone is eating cats its RFK Jr. Did anyone check to see if he made a stop there recently?
every prosecutor wants to get a defendant on the stand and she did a great job of letting him babble. I think at one point she shook her head and said “he doesn’t remember the question” her mic was off though so I’m not sure
If kamala had called trump a little bitch when talking about how he’s still recovering being fired I would have lost it.
I’m fairly certain most rich people cast ballots in multiple states. A federal voter ID system would prevent this by being able to track poll location, but obviously the republican solution wouldn’t stop illegal acts by rich people.
The other crazy part is a law requiring states to establish citizenship… which is solely the responsibility of the feds.
He also has about a 30% chance of trump dying in the next 5 years and becoming president
RFK Jr slowly pushing a half eaten pet under a rug.
my guess is that why republicans like it how it is: making government more fractured and complicated makes it easier for people to buy into their narratives about deregulation.
It seems like the supreme court staff would all be furloughed though. Could probably cut power to the buildings too. With a little creativity they could certainly create a situation where the supreme court stops getting paid and there is no way to convene the court to deal with it.
imo wouldn’t it be a better spend electorally just to help everyone get a passport than to donate to a political campaign who will just use it to buy ads on conservative media?
they’ve always fought a federal ID as far as I can remember. Its similar to how most talk about the border then like staff their mansions with undocumented immigrants. Or how they talk about the deficit and inflation then skyrocket both. They know the media is owned by their friends and will shield them from any sort of accountability.
Trump is well known to lie and take every position under the sun and nearby rocks, so saying things like “Trump doesn’t want war” is basically nonsense psychic mind reading. Rather than cherry picking responses it makes more sense to look at a politician’s actions in bulk. eg “What choices do they typically make?”
He bombed Syria, helped Saudi Arabia massacre people in Yemen and bombed an Iranian government official in Iraq in hopes of starting a war with Iran. These are not the actions of an anti war candidate.
Similarly saying “peacefully” once in a speech then following it with 10-20 “fight like hells” and similar over the next 50 minutes isn’t really that convincing of an argument. If I told you to be peaceful once and told you to fight somebody 10-20 times, what would your takeaway be?
A jury convicted Trump, not E Jean Caroll. Her testimony was a piece, but again a jury takes into account things like the fact that he frequently used assaulting women in changing rooms as a routine he employed. He had statements suggesting assaulting women was just normal behavior for a celebrity.
If you want to cherry pick Trump’s history that’s fine, just know that everybody sees you lying to them and will see you as a liar.
