News@lemmy.world•California voters will consider a measure in November to raise taxes on billionairesEnglish
4·20 days agoPersonally I don’t think it’s a good idea. I mean, why only a one time tax? This should be permanent. I guess I will vote for it though…

None of that is new. There has been reporting on it for decades before Alex Jones. All he did that is unique is record a video. He then went on to proclaim everything as satanic, kinda like the gay frogs, he gets a small sliver of truth and creates an abscess of bullshit around it.
right about what exactly? that they are satanists? nope.
You go up the cinder cone? I love Batchelor, one of my favorite mountains.

9·1 month agoits hyperbole for clicks. the guy recognizes Aardman in the video and basically just says they are not doing well financially which seems true. https://www.business-live.co.uk/enterprise/aardman-animations-faces-financial-woes-32724904
I am well aware of the regional differences in Mexican food (why I used Jalisco as an example).
shit, California was a part of mexico for a a few decades and we definitely have some local variants (CA Burrito is so good)
its about expectations. I grew up in California and have some specific expectations about Mexican food. they are different than if I was raised in Jalisco. I went to a “Mexican” restaurant in Budapest and their interpretation of Mexican food is VERRY different.

1·2 months agoor angle iron/aluminum.
I am really impressed by the quality of print of this, I have tried 3d printing a bunch and am constantly impressed by what folks (not me) can get out of these machines.
At the same time I am confounded by what people choose to print. This geometry is waaaay simpler quicker cheaper to achieve without 3d printing.
also I can’t get this output, so…

6·2 months agoA table saw is not really needed for this sort of thing. A router with straight edge guides would work for dados for the shelves. Technically you could CTL with the router too, if you didn’t have a circular saw.
