61·8 months agoI think thays a good compromise. if you then have an issie with a particular user you can block them individually.
2·8 months agoBan cars to me is shorthand for ban private cars, has nothing to do with EMS, or even public owned shared cars for that occasional time a car might necessary.
An 80% reduction in cars should be easy. 90% reduction with a few tweeks i’d think.

2·8 months agoPretty much this but another point of difference with say the US is that (Utes) (trucks) in Australia would be classified as “cars” and not commercial vehicles. Which is why you can see so many giant fuck off trucks in the US, they’re not part of the legislation … loopholes. Currently they want Government to have the same loophole as the US, so Toyota -> Hilux Ford -> Ranger etc can keep bringing in their big sellers with no penalty,
can’t do a whole lot without also physically stealing my phone.

I do it the way you do it as well but am under no illusion it’s bomb proof.

3·8 months agoMy 82yr old mother uses Signal on her iPad and iPhone to message me.
I don’t txt anyone, Signal for about 80%, 20% Telegram. I do receive a few SMS for 2FA , that’s it. My mother and sister use Signal on their iphones and tablets to message me as an example. I use Android. I’m in Australia though.
How is it not a Biden issue ? Surely it is if you’re not setting more stringent guidelines and just throwing buckets of money out. You could have stated no new roads can be built, hell I’d argue the stipulation should have been no money for roads … at all. Build a light rial line or a heavy rail lone or a new subway station, build some bike lanes etc.

Support the artists ? Buying from Apple (or Amazon etc) sees you supporting Apple, supporting the publisher, the RIAA. The Artist is at the end of a long chain of grifters and middle men taking their pound of flesh… I’d love to support the artists, if I could donate directly to them. The ones who aren’t, like Taylor Swift don’t need more supoort.
