We are paving over the Mojave and prime ag lands to build solar instead of incentivizing people to put it on top of their homes. Also, the current PUC is hopelessly corrupted by PGE influence. Anything that could be twisted to create more profit for PGE should be construed as doing so in practice.

This is why scientists are mocked. You get some guys from materials science saying ‘hey we can do this cool thing with beach sand and electricity’ and they don’t bother talking to the physical scientists about ocean erosion and why their idea does t make any sense.

They would tell you that beach erosion is inevitable. Either you let it happen, or you put a bunch of hard structures there instead. Then, the waves either undercut the hard structure, leading to more needed, or the wave reflection scours the beach and takes all of the sand out to sea or elsewhere along the coastline. Meankng no more sans next to you - just a concrete cliff.

Also sand is one of the most limited resources with actual cartels working on stealing it - and you want to use it as a primary building material? Instead of just a contributor like in concrete? What?

A lot work, but some of those are with an asterisk.

E.g., dyson sphere program, a factory game, is listed as playable. But, there’s no steam cross-play - so you can’t have the same save file on your PC and deck. And that game is computation heavy so I doubt if it would work well. Or Fez: I tried launching a few different ways, but it hard crashed. I’m sure there’s some way to fix it, but I didn’t bother to find out.

All that being said, I haven’t touched my gaming PC in months because the pause / resume feature is so convenient for getting gaming in, 15 minutes at a time.

I’d look at in terms of compliance car, or all in.

VW, Hyundai/Kia, GM, Ford and Volvo are all doing good work with EVs. They’re selling a lot of vehicles, have multiple well received models with medium to great reviews, and they’re building vehicles from the ground up to take advantage of EV perks.

Compare that to Toyota, who created one pure EV, the bz4x, that has a crappy charging speed and range and a high price, and for the first several years, received no promotion or ads. For some reason, they’re advertising it a lot now, but it’s still a shit car compared to what else you can get for the same price. I would throw fiat, Audi, BMW, Honda all in that boat too. You’re much better off going with someone that created a vehicle they actually want to sell lots of.

Its about degrees, right? If you see 1 leaf with 1 slug are you going to bust out the poison? Prob not. That’s different from seeing a plant overrun. If those cateepillars aren’t mobbing on your tree en masse it’s prob OK to leave em alone.
