Hey mate, best of luck with your issue - I can only hope that it resolves after your wife gives birth (congratulations to the two of you!). Private health insurance may be your friend in this case, since I don’t think Medicare will cut it, and best of luck either way.
Hey, I supported Harris - but you can’t ignore the fact that compared to Biden in 2020, Harris’s vote share practically collapsed - and her refusal to actively condemn Israel was a significant part of it.
Well, when neither candidates have meaningful differences on the issue you care the most about, there’s no meaningful reason to vote - that’s what caused the major vote collapse at the election.

ImWaitingForRetcons@lemm.eeto xkcd@lemmy.world•What if Earth grew 1cm every second?English16·9 months agoActually, even if the density was constant, the earth would turn into a black hole when it reached about 1.925 * 10^13 times its original mass, since the mass of a black hole is proportional to its radius, whereas the mass of the earth in this scenario grows proportional to radius cubed. This should happen around 371 years (?) after starting.
(Please check my calculations, I’m not 100% sure.)

ImWaitingForRetcons@lemm.eeto News@lemmy.world•Why Iran Has Waited to Retaliate Against Israel for Hamas Leader’s Killing134·11 months agoThis makes so much sense to me - Iran joining in would give an invitation to USA, EU, etc. to join in with Israel, and take away focus from Israel’s war crimes and genocide to instead focus on the new bad guy.
Look, I understand your point. And to be fair, they genuinely are reading new ground with reusable rockets. But not only are competitors catching up, cost overruns and time delays do matter in the context of NASA, considering how their budgets keeps getting negatively affected and the Artemis project is suffering setbacks. They don’t have the scope to tolerate what’s happening.
