Is it in a car?
Is it in a bar?
Is it in a bag?
I’m sorry you’ve hit a snag.

KittenBiscuits@lemmy.todayto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•i accidentally defiled a corpse, what do i do?English9·2 days agoHaving scattered loved ones ashes before, I find this kind of funny. Once the embarrassment wears off, you may find it funny too.
The person wanted to be left up there where they were, and they may have been glad to share the spot with you while you had lunch.
Be sure to wash your britches though.
KittenBiscuits@lemmy.todayto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why do people keep speeding even after the speed devil slows down with hazardsEnglish11·7 days agoMy husband & I call the ones out front like that “radar detectors”. We are watching.
Also, we can’t have actual radar detectors here. Waze reports are a godsend.
I love laser etched glass but it would show up much more on clear glass. So if you’re set on brown glass, then left one looks better to me…from the picture. Now if it shows up to you in person enough that you can make out the motifs then, I would pick etched over heat printed.
KittenBiscuits@lemmy.todayto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What is an issue/topic you believe isn’t getting enough attention or coverage?English7·9 days ago“uncontroversial”
I don’t think you know us very well, do you?
(that’s purely Bugs Bunny sarcasm there)

KittenBiscuits@lemmy.todaytoPhotography@lemmy.world•Makoshika State Park Museum/Visitor's Center, Glendive, MTEnglish2·9 days agoThis started me wondering why megafauna was extra-mega, like those bison, or wooly mammoths… could it be the ice age climate? Like how humans in say Scandinavia are larger because it’s more advantageous in a cold climate?
And will humans start to grow smaller as the earth heats up, or are we offsetting that with our improved childhood nutrition and modern healthcare?
I think it’s mostly crabgrass lol. I let the yard mostly do what it wants to, but I keep it trimmed to not encourage rodents. It could have some actual St. Augustine and Bermuda mixed in. It’s also got wild strawberries, clover, ground ivy, carpet weed and other neat colorful weeds that I actually kind of like. The yard is too damn big to do battle with weeds and maintain a monoculture of HOA darling Kentucky bluegrass, so when you can’t beat 'em, join 'em.
The top of it is about 4 inches/ 10 cm in diameter.
I think all kids should be cautioned to not believe a single thing their uncles tell them.
KittenBiscuits@lemmy.todayto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What should I do for online income?English41·12 days agoTshirt design? Like at Threadless, TeeTurtle, etc?
The competition may still be fierce there, but you can wear your creations around and put your qr code or @handle on the sleeve.
Boosting and advertising will be the way to get your stuff in front of eyeballs to begin with.
KittenBiscuits@lemmy.todayto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How do you deal with the left over fat/oil in your pan?English2·12 days agoPretty much the same rationale. WWGD. But I used shortening for my base coats only because that’s what I had on hand. Then I basically only cooked bacon, sausage, ham, and pork chops in them to build up the seasoning.
KittenBiscuits@lemmy.todayto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How do you deal with the left over fat/oil in your pan?English4·12 days agoI did the same with these pans too. Though I didn’t need an angle grinder. A day or two in a trash bag marinating in oven cleaner, then some steel wool and elbow grease. That’s why I call them my babies, they are antique pans that sadly had gotten rusty and I gave them new life. They were my mom’s, and before her, her great-grandma’s pans (and maybe someone else’s before then but we, the family, have lost track).
KittenBiscuits@lemmy.todayto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How do you deal with the left over fat/oil in your pan?English6·13 days agoI respect that you were brave enough to admit on the internet to using a little soap now and again with your cast iron. It took me about a year after I rehabbed mom’s pans to work up the courage to gently swipe a little soap on them now and again. They still get dried in the oven and moisturized with avocado oil. Mah bebes.

KittenBiscuits@lemmy.todayOPto Today I Learned@lemmy.world•TIL not all water bottles can survive the dishwasherEnglish10·17 days agoAlso TIL, Tritan was developed by Eastman Chemical, the HQ of which is in a town not far from where I grew up. Old stomping grounds and the like. Good God if the wind was blowing the wrong way, the chemical factory would stink up the entire town. It didn’t help there used to also be a paper pulp Mead plant there too, but Eastman was the biggest stinker.
KittenBiscuits@lemmy.todayOPto Today I Learned@lemmy.world•TIL not all water bottles can survive the dishwasherEnglish2·17 days agoBtw, LOVE your user name! I call my trusty roadies sippy cups too. I have a shoe organizer full hanging on the pantry door. It’s hard to resist an ultra cute sippy cup.
KittenBiscuits@lemmy.todayOPto Today I Learned@lemmy.world•TIL not all water bottles can survive the dishwasherEnglish2·17 days agoThat could be more your detergent than the machine. If you use Dawn Platinum, that stuff removed the screen print ink off my pub glasses. That’s how they can say you don’t have to prerinse with it. Because it’s just dissolving everything indiscriminately. It sure got the dishes squeaky clean, I’ll give it that.
I’ve switched back to basic Palmolive detergent.
