Europe has an extensive passenger train network, but most of it is not high speed rail.
I looked on travelling from Madrid to Paris and it takes 2 hours if you fly (and then some time before for travelling from the city center to the airport, luggage check-in etc.), 11 hours with train and 13.5 hours with car. I think there are high speed rails between Madrid and Barcelona and in France, but still it takes that long time. The cost is similar.
Trains are really good but they have limitations, each type of travel has its advantages.
When I checked how long distance it was between Columbia, SC and Baltimore, MD I realised it was much shorter than Madrid - Paris. So I checked Munich - Paris instead which is only a 10 km longer than Columbus - Baltimore. It takes 7 hours with train and 8.5 - 9 hours with car. The flight takes 1 hour 35 minutes but the estimated time for travelling from central Munich to the airport, transfer time, flight, transfer and travel to central Paris is 5 hours.
I can imagine Shadows being decent and on the limit to good. Now I have not played any AC since Origins, but I can’t imagine it has changed much. Except that they have different seasons in Shadows, which is a nice feature. And it is fine if a game sticks to a concept, for example CoD have not changed much and they still sell plenty of games every year. However, if Ubisoft delivers good games, around 80 on metacritic, with their cash cows and they perform worse with other games then that does not bode well for a new Splinter Cell.
With that being said, of course I hope that a new SC is released and that it is really good.
Are the chips made in China or Taiwan? Taiwan could of course also add extra features, but it is unlikely that they share it with China.
As long as they make as good as previous SC games. I have a feeling that a new SC game would be significantly worse than the older games. When was the last time Ubisoft created something good?
I got a bit worried after your first sentence but it sounds like Chrono Trigger should be more than okay.
20-30 hour was less than I expected. On other comments it sounds like several endings can be seen in one playthrough which makes it easier to see many or all endings.
Thanks for the suggestions of the mods. I can image it works well on Steam deck since it exists a DS version.
Sounds promising. I’ve seen other posts of people who played it “recently” and enjoyed it.
I have never played Chrono Trigger, but I am currently spending some time playing old classic games. However, some games don’t age well and are mostly appreciated due to nostalgia. How easy is Chrono Trigger to get into for someone without the nostalgia, and is the Steam release worth playing?
For me, this is the most anticipated game this year. Even if GTA6 is released.
It should be relatively stable and bug-free according to reviews. However, I’m still going to wait for a patch or two before picking it up.
I think he is referring to PGP being released.
1991 – Phil Zimmermann releases the public key encryption program PGP along with its source code, which quickly appears on the Internet.
