Yep, FLAC or nothing for me. Regardless of whether I can hear a difference or not, why choose lossy when lossless is the same price. The storage space argument died years ago when you can get storage for super cheap.

Depends on the individual. I used to EQ, but not anymore as I like listening to music bit perfect on Audirvāna. I would never own like 6 different headphones, but 2 or 3 max for different cases is good enough
SMSL SU-8s > THX AAA 789 > Sundara / Zero: Red
Really high. You can “train” yourself to listen at lower volumes. Listen to music lower from now on and your brain will adjust. Overtime, you’ll find yourself hardly wanting to turn the volume up to the levels you have now. I tend to listen at ~70db with peaks going above that slightly.
How I measured that was not at all scientific tbh, basically downloaded Sound Metre on my phone, played some music to a ever so slight higher volume level than I normally run, and held the phone where my ear would sit. Maybe try that.

Audio is indeed a journey as someone once said. That said, I’m more than happy with my current stack :)
Haha I thought so too until I saw the headband and was like nah. They’re the Dan Clark Ether 2 apparently and they look very sexy from the pictures I’ve seen online.
I felt the same way when I got my Sundara’s. Hearing the micro detail like saliva and trailing notes was something. When I actually moved away from onboard DAC to a straight alone DAC to combine with my existing amp, it was even more clearer and I was hearing more from songs I’ve listened to 1000x before.
Didn’t think there would be that much of a difference between the processing on my motherboard considering its high end, but Marina’s voice has never sounded better. I know the feeling, enjoy it mate.
My old Sony XB950AP’s were really comfortable. Kinda just floated on my head with a good seal.
