Mananasi@feddit.nlto Technology@lemmy.world•‘IRL Fakes:’ Where People Pay for AI-Generated Porn of Normal PeopleEnglish5·1 year agoI think that is okay because there was no intent to create pornography there. It is a political statement. As far as I am concerned that falls under free speech. It is completely different from creating nudes of random people/celebrities with the sole purpose of wanking off to it.
Mananasi@feddit.nlto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Do you think it is ethical to work for a company that builds drones, weaponry, or supplies parts to the military?1·1 year agoIt’s not always straightforward. I work as a software developer at a company which creates scientific measurement instruments. These instruments are used to do research into new battery types, and make cement greener. But they are also used extensively by the fossil fuel industry. I do struggle with the ethics of this.
For now I’ve decided to keep doing the job and make good money. When we’ve figured some other shit out in our lives we’ll most likely move, and I’ll give it another shot to work a job which I feel better about.

These numbers would probably look different if the NOS or EenVandaag did the survey.
Mananasi@feddit.nlto Technology@lemmy.world•More than $35 million has been stolen from over 150 victims since December — ‘nearly every victim’ was a LastPass userEnglish2·2 years agoThere’s an assumption that the code you see is the code running on their server. And on top of that there’s lots of other software running on their servers.
I had the same issue, but patching to the latest versions fixed it. I updated YouTube, ReVanced manager, and ReVanced. I’m not sure if all three are are needed, but it worked.
Maybe just let people enjoy whatever game they like?
