Afaik a screw down crown doesn’t actually make a watch more water resistant, it just makes it harder to accidentally pull out the crown. Can’t say I’ve ever had that happen

Junghans chronoscopes are some of the nicest looking imo
Generally a fan but I really don’t like the fact that they went with a modular movement for the watch pictured and some other recent ones. Afaik it’s obnoxious to service so the module typically gets tossed and who knows how long those will keep being made for. It also makes the watch thicker than it needs to be. All around a weird choice when they have access to very nice column wheel chronos from ETA.
Apparently, they can run into issues such as the chrono hands falling out of alignment during routine battery changes and are a pain in the ass to fix. I’d rather just wear a regular quartz chrono to avoid that risk, losing the low-maintenance nature of quartz isn’t worth have a hand that ticks multiple times a second.
Invicta, San Martin (on aliexpress), maybe Seiko or Orient on sale.
