I bought one not long ago because I wanted to try out the tone controls and that loudness function. Let’s just say 2.4W is very optimistic. It seems to have less gain compared to a Douk U3 Mini that I also bought to compare.
With my Sundara, I’d have to crank it up to 2-4 o’clock position for the volume knob (5o’c is max), and that’s before EQ and negative pre-amp gain. On the U3, it gets painfully loud in 2 o’clock position after EQ and -ve gain applied, and media volume is around 50%. If I max it out, I’d have to turn the knob down below 12 o’clock.
SK01 is a very convenient unit though if one is satisfied with the tone controls and not driving something super demanding. No background hiss that I can hear (with my Sundara). Knobs have a nice turning feel to them. The volume knob feel is close to my BT30D Pro, heavy and velvety smooth.
