It was a change in perspective that completely changed the way I think about food.

I used to buy in bulk and throw away far too much. Then I started thinking about the journey behind everything I was wasting. The chicken I was about to throw in the garbage was once a living animal, cared for on a farm, before being processed, packaged, frozen, transported, and stocked in a supermarket all for me to eventually throw it away.

The same applies to everything we eat. Fruit has to be grown, watered by nature, picked, packaged, transported, and stored before it reaches us.

That perspective changed the way I see food. Now, whenever I look at something I’m about to eat or waste, I see the time, resources, people, and life that went into getting it there. It has made me far more conscious of what I buy, what I use, and what I throw away.

Yes, please! have my second plate ready as I devour this one, with an Inca Kola to wash it all down.

The acid pills scene is the best! Also the intro I love this movie!

Have the ISP place their gateway/router into bridge mode. This will pass the public WAN IP directly to your router, allowing it to handle NAT, firewall policies, and port forwarding without double NAT.

I’ve been hosting public-facing servers for several years and regularly run dedicated servers for my son. I keep the ISP gateway in the setup because they provide a substantial discount for using their modem/router rather than connecting the UDM Pro directly to the fiber ONT.

Shoot himself in the head in the movie Ancona 1995 after his boat is stranded on the river.

A wise man once said devs that are afraid of losing their jobs dont go on to make great games. I was going to purchase this game but now ill wait till its on super sale.

I been so fucking strategic with my food this year that for the 1st time in my life the freezer food gets eaten and I have to go shopping cause we are eating everything in the fridge. I buy small eat everything and repeat and I gotta say it’s a good feeling.

Imagine how miserable the life of this individual must be for him to do this. Smh

Thats a lie if they know you are drunk they will hit you with surge pricing. They are doing something similar with phone battery, if the battery is low they hit you with surge pricing!

I haven’t seen it yet, but my mom watched it and was so excited to tell me about it. It definitely caught my attention, so I’ll have to add it to my watch list!

Leave Iran alone, they like America and our way of life they just hate that we are being cucked by Israel!

Say what you will about SeamanPatrick, but there’s no denying it made Lemmy far more active. The influx of memes and posts is exactly the kind of engagement the platform needs. Also, I’m a little disappointed I didn’t make the list. 😄

One of the jump scares startled my wife so much that she reflexively smacked my arm. She normally doesn’t enjoy films like this, but we both ended up having a great time. Rachel McAdams was so good!

Definitely a solid watch that left me frustrated by how much power large corporations can wield, while ordinary people often lack the time and resources to hold them accountable.

It was criminal! I didn’t notice the picture frame I will need to revisit.

This is incredible. What I would have given to have had something like this in the early 2000s! Thanks for sharing.

This is amazing! thank you for sharing. Hi-Fi baby!

I found it much more enjoyable without the added CGI, as it allows the original filmmaking and practical effects to shine.

This is correct! I leave the possibility of a 10/10 rating open because the world hasn’t stopped creating films. As long as new movies continue to be made, there is always the chance that one will achieve what I consider true perfection.

Considering the Northeast (US) is once again being impacted by smoke from the Canadian wildfires, with air quality reaching around 160 (Unhealthy), this should absolutely be getting more attention. It feels like we’re being forced to stay indoors every summer because of it. I hate it most for my son, who should be able to spend his summer outside instead of being stuck inside.
