I’d think it would be a hard sell. But, it’s hard to see other revenue models.
It would be interesting if we could get people to consider alternatives like peertube as a livestreaming platform.
I think peertube has a livestreaming option. But, i don’t think a lot of streamers would jump to it because lack of monetization options.
It also has a livestreaming option as well. I’m hoping some twitch streamers would consider; but, that’s a longshot because they’re upset about ad money not actual content. Unless, there is a way to monetize content hosting without ads that’s more or less a pipe dream
I think with federation gets more popular a lot of it may come back in a way.
I do miss it a little because they definitely had a culture that was unique, compared to sites like Twitter or Reddit.
