I have no idea whether these posts are made to serve some whiny sense of narcissism or people making these posts are experts are (barely) failing upward. I can’t fathom why someone would want to ask perfect strangers on what to do because they are feeling “lost and depressed”. This idea is batshit insane to me.

This is sincerely a bad idea. Gauging from how reactively (and immaturely) you are thinking about your friend, I would wager that your business may also be a bad idea and that’s why investors don’t throw money at it.

The problem isn’t you lacking some “gift of gab” here; the problem is deeper and has to do with your business or you.

Some people commenting here should clean up their comment history before lying. Couple of dudes posted above have profits coming in to the tune of “40-50k” but a recent comment stating they only have 20k in savings.

It’s a lot more “nuts and bolts” than you are thinking. Don’t worry about reading a book to spot opportunities… that’s not how it works.

I will give you a simple formula to train your mind. Look around you and find real life problems worth solving. Think up solutions. The key is the phrase “worth solving”. You have to be honest with yourself if the problem is worth solving for only yourself or a bigger market.

Don’t overthink things. Entrepreneurship is not a science.
