Originally, I believed that I can’t build an HDR image from the mini-3 AEB-shots, as somehow HDR from JPEGs seems to not be a good idea, and apart from Photoshop there’s no software around that fully understands the DNG format of the more modern DJI drones. Then I found that I can just put them in gimp and manually build the HDR part. That meant that quite some shots I’ve taken last year could be rescued :)

I like your composition, the dramatic clouds, the path, the clear subject in the middle, the outlook on where the hike goes, great photo!

Probably the reason for that new direction; they noticed that quite some people are very emotionally heated against last generation etc and think ‘hey more cars in the city’ could bring them those voters. But most of them are not against doing sth against climate change… They are just part of the lazy majority that says anything as long as it doesn’t affect me and my lifestyle

Yep, seeing as they’re not a ‘everyone has to agree to everything the leadership says’ kind of party, but one that accepts and promotes discourse, I feel absolutely fine voting for them every time and calling it out when they make a bad decision. I don’t think that holding the exterior ministry is helping Germany a lot to meet our climate goals, I do however see that the traffic ministry is failing the goals spectacularly after handing it off to the FDP

All of what the other two commenter’s said + the following:

• wear a helmet (kind of obvious, but depending on the culture people frown on road safety for cyclists)
• wear a high vis shirt
• put a back mirror on your handle that sticks 20cm or so.

The last one makes the difference in Munich between riding my normal bike and my ebike. With the mirror you see them coming, making it less uncomfortable when they pass + they automatically keep some more distance as they don’t want to hit the mirror.

Finally, depending on how fast your bike goes, look into tuning it to higher speeds? Mine is an s-pedelec and goes 45km/h, that means in city traffic I am able to swim with the traffic and not get passed often (this will probably trigger some debate and is a suggestion you should think about carefully, as it has other implications)

We do this at work (lots of sensitive data that we don’t want Openai to capitalize on) and it works pretty well. Hosted locally, setup by a data security and privacy sensitive admin, who specifically runs the settings to not save any queries even on the server. Bit slower than chatgpt but not by much

Drone pilot from Germany here, they have no place hovering over your property, more strictly even they’re not allowed to fly in any way that allows them to view your garden from above. You can shoot down the drone and it’s their problem note that this is in Germany not the US (which surprised me tbh).

However, that said, could be that it’s the same pilot again and again, even if it’s different birds. Normally they are very cooperative, just ask them to stop and they’ll apologize for any inconvenience caused.

It may not look like it… But there is only 2 options at this point, go forward or back. It’s part of a larger hiking trail and while this stretch looks still pretty tame, it gets quite challenging in the mountains, so even experienced explorers stick with the paths here :)
