  • I’ve never had a dry vaporizer before, so I’m looking to buy my first. Anyone have any suggestions for information resources or specific products I should be looking at? Someone mentioned the TinyMight 2, but it doesn’t really seem like an entry level model. But maybe I should just go for the best.

I tend to consume smaller amounts of cannabis at a time, so a model that has flexibility in terms of hit size would be ideal.

  • It’s not universal, it’s based on income. When I signed up for the ACA I put down my income at $3,000 a month, which makes my monthly bill $30.19 a month. If my average income for the year exceeds $3,000, I owe the difference to the government.

My small income works for me because I live alone and don’t have any dependents. But if I had kids I would need to double or triple my income to support them, in which case my monthly ACA payment would also increase. It’s possible for people with families to be priced out of the ACA.

    It’s definitely not universal.

I was just reading about how vigilance can make mindfulness more difficult. I have a lot of childhood trauma which causes me to experience emotional flashbacks almost constantly. My baseline anxiety level is kept higher than it should be because my brain believes that I am in constant physical danger.

Sometimes the things preventing us from being mindful are also the reasons why being mindful would be so beneficial in the first place. I’m working on treating my trauma and practicing mindfulness simultaneously, and it actually seems to be working.

  • I hope you’re right. Zelenskyy not being a politician probably helped him win an election in a country with a history of corruption. People were sick of the status quo and picked an outsider in the hopes it would improve things. It would be great if that happened here. (I don’t consider Trump an outsider, that was just part of the grift)

Part of the reason it can be annoying when people keep suggesting Stewart run for office is that it distracts from actual candidates who are willing to run. And false optimism isn’t exactly a good strategy in times like these.

I would love to be proven wrong, though.
