Wether it’s acceptable or not is irrelevant to scrolling through social media or the existence of memes, moth or otherwise. Seeing some memes after years of people endlessly posting about the various conflicts, (because you are tripping hard of you think no one has been talking about the genocide on this website…) doesn’t imply anyone thinks its “acceptable” to allow it (or is allowing it?).

Sarmyth@lemmy.worldto politics @lemmy.world•Tulsi Gabbard now says Iran could produce nuclear weapon 'within weeks'21·8 days agoThey were invaded by 1 of the 2 nations that agreed to protect them if they disarmed. The US did not uphold its obligations 3 times in a row through multiple administration’s. The latest conflict in Ukraine is a result of actions taken by the USA, followed by inaction on our part.
If we didn’t request their disarmament, lie about protecting them, it would be a very different landscape there right now.
It isn’t solely the fault of the US, but we are major contributors.
Sarmyth@lemmy.worldto politics @lemmy.world•Tulsi Gabbard now says Iran could produce nuclear weapon 'within weeks'21·8 days agoYou keep writing like they have them and thats why they are being attacked. Its specifically because they dont yet have them that they are being attacked. If they already had them like North Korea, their situation would be more similar. I doubt people would be bombing them, in the same way people aren’t bombing North Korea despite it acting very hostile and making direct threats.
Sarmyth@lemmy.worldto politics @lemmy.world•Tulsi Gabbard now says Iran could produce nuclear weapon 'within weeks'51·8 days agoNorth Korea has nukes and it never gets invaded and gets aid sent to it. Iran doesn’t have nukes and it is regularly attacked.
I’d say their presence adds very clear value to the example country that actually has them.
I didn’t even get to take off yesterday. Fuck this guy.

If thats not the case, I still question whether or not this administration would let a blue state get hit when they could prevent it just out of spite.
In this case, at least lately, it less a brush stroke and more of a high resolution camera.
Once you support extremists, the argument of nuance becomes almost irrelevant to the rest of their victims.

I think the widespread use of chat clients and services like slack in large companies has changed this norm.
There was a time where it would be unprofessional, but now its a solution to the communication flaw inherent in written messages. Conveying emotion.

It’s a big system, with enough moving parts that I understand the ad/pay model existing. I just wish they weren’t such prices about how they choose to operate it sometimes.

I think the value of a gift that is automatically seized is ludicrously low. I recall nintendo gifting a switch and it was made property of the American People, which usually means it goes to the Smithsonian.

The fact that youtube hits me with an ad for a game that says everyone thinks its fake, with the most bullshit sounding voice over, tells me they are happy to take money for obvious scam products.
Sarmyth@lemmy.worldto politics @lemmy.world•Elon Musk is responsible for “killing the world’s poorest children,” says Bill Gates11·2 months agoI feel like the only way it would work is if they got to keep the money of whoever they killed as long as that person had over a billion dollars… and I would almost be OK with that.
I like to imagine it would reduce the collateral damage the rest of society faces when these people have a dick waving contest.
Roided out billionaires with their hearts exploding out their chests from experimental steroids would really mix things up in a good way. He’ll maybe we’d get some truly sick cybernetic out of it too.
Who’s allowing it because of the time waiting? Are they in the room with us? >.>
