Does no one remember the Ashley Madison leaks including .gc.ca emails?

There’s a HUGE lobbying effort to convince the people in power that this is a good idea. Lots of tech-surveillance companies bidding for this to go through, so everyone is forced to use their services. You think identity theft is bad now? Wait until you need to put your ID on the internet and that gets leaked.
Related: For people in Toronto, the Canadian Stage currently has a production on called “Universal Childcare”. It’s artsy, educational and fun! Highly recommend checking it out if you are able.

I presume there would be an employer with unionized employees who uses Manulife as their insurance provider.
A smaller company ClaimSercure had been pulling this shit with Rexall. Is it time for unions to test Canada’s antitrust laws?
Does this not say it all? “The report estimates that students from India alone will provide Ontario colleges with $2 billion in operating revenue for the 2023-2024 school year. That’s slightly more than those colleges receive from the provincial government.”
Yellowknife has had a housing crisis for decades. Bad choice.
If every single Canadian had to swear allegiance to the king when you become an adult (as opposed to just immigrants), we would not have a king.
I dread the day I need to take care of my parents to that degree. Parents in the burbs, neither of the kids drive. It’s at least transitable and my parents were decent people. There’s still trauma but it’s healing.
Still, how do you balance work to pay rent with the need to care for ailing loved ones? Something’s going to give when the boomers start becoming disabled en masse.
Toronto might as well be it’s own province, right? The Portlands Gas Plant on the lakeshore in East Toronto is the #1 emitter of GHG in the city and while operating at under 40% capacity. The Province of Ontario wants to expand the production capacity of this plant and run it constantly at max capacity. Thanks Doug.
Will this still be the case after the layoffs? https://www.readthemaple.com/cbc-union-says-it-was-promised-no-job-cuts-this-year/
I’m lucky enough to not be on regular medication anymore, but some of my as-needed meds cost $140 without insurance. It’s pretty steep.
Layoffs are a thing. Do people just die if they can’t afford their meds? I know several people who are staying in their soul crushing jobs because of the benefits. Precarious contract work and part time workers don’t get benefits.
We need pharmacare for all.
Why do we need billions in drones and jets when 1 in 7 Canadians are food insecure? The priorities seem off.
It’s unfortunate that this has to be a bad thing.
Bandcamp was sold off without the unionized employees. If you’re doing this to be pro-labour, you can’t really support Bandcamp right now.
Damn. Those TERF colours flying.
This was a tough read. In a supposedly affirming article, why would you mention the 88% detransition success rate multiple times when you’re going to bury the fact that the study has methodological flaws at the very bottom of the article in tiny footnotes?
Do trans people not face enough systemic barriers?
I left Reddit with the API fiasco and never looked back. Happier without it.
It is literally the same party federally and provincially.
Several provinces are trying to detach, namely Alberta for Alberta reasons.
