Is there a „humanist nihilism“ movement? I mean a political and social narrative that the world would be better off without humans? Is there a party you can vote for, that aims to achieve this goal?

Twitter turning into Truth Social?
Maybe it’s the creators that delete your comments as well. Doesn’t have to be only YT.
YouTube and Spotify are paying license fees to be allowed to play music on their platform.
We tend to complain a lot about them. But compared to the US (and I don’t know any other system than US and Germany) it’s far better.
If you don’t take any loans your score gets better and better. If you take out a big loan it is at first negative, but after paying it off it may be even positive.
My mother never took out a load in her life and has almost a perfect score.
In the US you get rewarded for making credit card dept and paying off interest. That is actually a stupid way to handle money. In Germany you get rewarded if you save first and then spend your money.
The problems lie in the details. If you move to a poor neighbourhood your score drops. That is utterly stupid!
This is a tragedy for all Texans! Next, they will ban all medical examinations during pregnancies, so something like this will never happen again!
Die haben halt keine Schufa. Dank Schufa müssen wir keine Kreditkarten haben um uns irgendwann einen Baukredit leisten zu können. Das hat schon seinen Vorteil!
Do backups. Don’t forget to test if recovery works as expected.
I don’t get the comparison.
It is true that it is often cheaper to buy a commercial solution + support in a company, instead of using open source and employing a fleet of admins to support it.
But that sure is not implied in the post.
Sounds illegal. Maybe in countries with weak consumer rights.
I also like to give AI my code and just ask to rewrite it, implementing a cleaner solution and upholding best practices. Most times, there are things that are really an improvement!
You most likely did not officially consent to the changes and have a prolonged right to terminate the contract without the need of upholding the contract duration.
It’s probably mich cheaper just to deal with the few that complain rather than sending out hundreds of thousands of paper letters or having them confirm the changes electronically and terminating the contracts of those who did not accept.
Isn’t paying for subscriptions exactly the zeitgeist? People pay for Netflix, instead of just recording stuff for free and sharing copies among friends and family. It’s convenience you pay for (if we keep Netflix originals out of scope)
This printer was paid for by my employer in 2017. I would have never spent 250€ on a printer. And I often did not use it because it had run out of ink and I was too lazy or occupied to take the 5 minutes to order it. So now this is taken care of.
It is also the best printer I have ever had and the longest living. But it is also the first one that cost more than 50€ so the reason might lie there.
They’re rapists and criminals! Well, some of them are good people…
So… you have the full game encoded in an NFT? That sounds like a shit ton of overhead.
I have never encountered this product. Can you give a brand/product name example?
I actually like my printing subscription. I pay like 5€ a month (I don’t quite remember) and don’t have to think about buying new ink, Monitoring the status of my ink level, or facing the issue that I suddenly ran out of ink and can’t print.
That’s what I pay for. I probably pay more than before, but 5€ a month is really negligible. It’s less then one Starbucks coffee.
Why the twist into xenophobia in the end? The comment could have been 100% on point. Now it’s like Hitler being vegan - nice, but overshadowed by other stuff.
That would mean I also have to change. 😵💫 But I am a big part of the problem!
