Depends on what youd use the keyboard for. I got one after like 2 years of owning one and even though i dont use it daily, i think it was worth it.

As far as switching over, I havent looked back, I love using my remarkable whenever I can.

The mobility and reassurance that I will have something to write on (as long as i remembered to charge it), was really a game changer for me. Recently graduated student and its been more useful at my job than school lol.

Look into the 90 day return policy, If it doesnt work for him then at least youre not wasting monies.

At work with clients (graphic design, car wrapping shop), I can just have them sign it on the tablet and use that for designs. Anything they write, notes, etc, its always just there, and handing clients the tablet certifies what they do is safe. It takes a lot of stress off because I know where to find my information.

There are templates in the OS of the RM, some graphs/gridded sheets, etc, but your husband can always download a PDF as is and edit it. I think it would be a good choice but the RM is just my choice, not being distracted on the job while getting the notes and info down is super rewarding and imo worth it. Im really happy I didnt get mine until I was 27, 20 year old me wouldnt have gotten how special it is.

First of all, not a stupid question. All questions just lead to learning, and that aint bad.

I have mine vertical most of the time, in my bag, between cords and a Wacom tablet. Or schoolbag and books in the past.

Never had an issue. ~3/4 years with the same tablet.

My main advice would be go into settings and reset the tutorial notes. I have done this a lot with mine and they help me… re organize how i organize my RM? You can use all the stuff however you want and its more freeing than punishing.

Im the opposite from the other comments, I will fill that storage up with uselesss timestamps of my life, all day. Ill cut stuff off when I hit ~6 gigs of space. Im ~3 years in and not even halfway there.

I have never stressed it. The thing i love the most is Quick Sheets always shows a new page, i know that on-the-go notes are right there. I dont have to remember?

The ReMarkable is a totem of my history. 90% of mine is throwaway stuff. Ill go through it soon and save everything i want as a pdf or whatnot, but the more I use it, the more it means.

Holding that weight makes me be more careful with it too.

Multiple year owner here, no issues so far with it dying fast. I always forget to charge it because its been so long since the last charge.

I love that it’s not all at once and things you don’t normally open will still hold the hint or tip until you open it, even if it’s a little ways down the road. Hope you enjoy it!

Id say just redo the tutorial a few times. It just resets all the little tips that pop up when you open stuff, but that helped me utilize the new features that have been added since getting mine. Imo, its up to the user, I made folders and notebooks as i went instead of making 15 folders of things I might use.

An example of what I did in school was have a folder for a class, and then a notebook for each lecture, titled with the date the lecture happened. Could get kinda confusing remembering what day was what, but thats how I handled it.
