We’ve been charging our EV on 110 volts for 8 years now. We tend to charge it over the weekends at only 6 amps since it’s not a dedicated line and a longer charging time isn’t a problem for us. We’ve thought about rewiring our garage, but we’d have to replace our circuit breaker panel and even install the new one at another location. It just doesn’t seem worth it since we’re retired and don’t drive a lot.
We’ve had our BMW i3 for 8 years now and the only problem was a recent windshield washer pump failure which I wasn’t sure was worth fixing. I suspect that consumer reports counted a lot of fit or finish problems which Tesla is known to have and there are a lot of Teslas in the US. I noticed that the top 5 brands are all Japanese. Still waiting for more choices than the ugly one with a silly name.
