- A high 2nd round round pick feels steep.
- A proven, talented DE is hard to find and is valuable.
- The Bears D-line is currently ineffective and appears to have little talent.
- Sweat may have benefited from playing with a good D-line on the Commies and may not be that good.
- Sweat may eat up some double teams sometimes allowing one of the other Bears young d-linemen to step up their game.
- He is 27 and they Bears aren’t even close to good yet. He’ll be old by the time they are.
- They have little chance to be a competitive team without a good D-line
- He is a FA at the end of the year.
- He can be tagged.
- They Bears are in a good position in terms of getting a jump on resigning him.
Every one of those brown Bears hoodies should have little ears on them like a toddlers bath towel.
