  • That’s hardly a reason to get rid of it or replace it. Clearly people are benefitting from it and it’s evident if you look at your tax return. If anything, the fact that people don’t know about the return is a failure in marketing. So sure, there are maybe some improvements to make.

But really, no matter what carbon scheme you put in place, the cons will find a way to complain about it. That’s not a failure of the carbon tax. That’s just how the conservatives operate.

  • If that’s the case then perhaps they should have implemented Monero (or something similar), which was designed for, and as far as I know, still provides both anonymity and privacy. Neither of those are properties of BTC.

Or they could have not done this since there are many other wallets that can be used without a paid account that can easily be blocked by such a regime.

Seriously, if you live under the scrutiny of an authoritarian regime, please do not use Bitcoin for anything that might get you into trouble. It is neither anonymous nor private.

  • When I first read the headline, I thought it was maybe a good thing. Hurray for less military spending! I guess there’s maybe one policy I might agree with.

Then I read the article and found the little “woke” nugget you mentioned. Seriously, conservatives are just completely fucked… I know people in the military and it’s anything but woke! I’d like to see ANY of these fucking woke-saying assholes do a single day of basic training or handle even a few hours on an exercise!

Of course we all know that “warrior culture” in this context means kicking out anyone who’s not a “straight” white male. Because nothing says warrior like being toxicly insecure about ones sexuality.

I just wish it meant bringing in Klingon codes of honour.
