Not much. In my experience, they will only take action if it’s obvious. I’ve reported a project three times that is serving malware, but they won’t take it down because it’s using a custom .npmrc and the deps hosted there have the malware. It’s easy to see after npm installing, but they don’t seem to want to do that much investigating.

I disagree. I read this whole comment chain and I think what started as a factual observation morphed into accusations of anti-trans sentiment, and candidly I’m not really sure why.

I imagine they were talking about destruction in a practical sense. Disassembling the book and scanning it like that is faster and cheaper than purpose build book scanning machines.

Additionally, court documents indicate they generally just throw them away afterwards. So the knowledge is retained, but that book is destroyed.

I went to Jury Selection recently and several jurors raised their hands and wanted to privately explain why they couldn’t serve. That’s what I’d do.

I’ve taken flight lessons and have taken off and landed the plane, but not once did my instructor jump out and fall to his death.

It’s what the other commenter said. Generally if you’re a good customer they refund you no questions asked.

I actually had a food delivery guy drop off my food but steal a package from my porch. Even with the footage, you should have seen how fast they clammed up.
