2·3 months agoI understand what you mean. I think it would have been nice to have something unique like not all sith are pure evil or not all Jedi are good.
I know some of the other shows portray this concept to varying degrees.

What I liked the most with The Last Jedi was how Rey was just an ordinary person. Not a Skywalker or someone special and I felt that was really the most interesting aspect to me.

205·3 months agoI really loved The Last Jedi and how Rian tried to take it in a new direction. But the sequel series was honestly all over the place.
The Force Awakens was good but essentially a copy & paste of A New Hope. While Rise of Skywalker just did a 360 to change what The Last Jedi built upon and threw in Palpatine out of nowhere.
The original trilogy is the only one where all of them were good.

21·6 months agoThe comic is not “AI generated”. One of my friends reached out to the VFX supervisor for the show on Mastodon and they said the art department drew and colored it.
I think it’s also important for us to fact check things before assuming. I know “AI generated content” is being used a lot but there are designers and artists that are very much against its use.

I loved this episode a lot. Paul Giamatti & Holly Hunter really played off of each other very well. Seeing the Vulcan B’avi (I think that’s the name it said in the show) die and also mention Spock’s famous quote was heartbreaking but well done.

3·6 months agoSame here! It’s interesting and well done so far and honestly has a charm to it.
I mean personally the only 2 Star Trek stuff I’ve not liked at all is Section 31 & Star Trek Nemesis.
I haven’t seen all of Trek. I’m basically catching up on it still.
For context I’ve seen The Next Generation (and all the TNG movies), Deep Space Nine, Discovery, Picard, Strange New Worlds.
Currently watching TOS and I’m on the last season for that.

I’m currently reading Hamnet. I’m enjoying the book so far. There’s some small stuff I don’t like but overall it’s quite good.
