For streaming? No thanks.just use your phone. If you’ve got a very large collection of ripped high quality non compressed music then they’re pretty awesome. I love my Sony and wouldn’t trade it for the world but without that collection it’s pointless. Hell I could argue still that it’s pointless but I really love the device regardless. I’d say it’s not necessary by any means but if you have the spare cash and want a spare device for high quality locally stored audio then go for it.

Honestly I ended up falling in love with the pro x for gaming. Curious as to your opinion after you’ve had more time with it. My only complaint was how long it took for me to stretch out the pro x for my big head but its comfortable now and the build quality combined with how easy it is to take it apart is nice. Musically they’re very pleasant but not quite the profile I’m looking for. Still, amazing headphones and one of my daily drivers.
