Also gag worthy is “buttery-smooth background”
I’ve tried to “fix” a shit shot many times in Photoshop. Doesn’t work. It’s just a sign you have to do better on location next time. It’s part of the learning process.
People are crazy. That’s like buying a coffee and telling the waiter to give you the whole pitcher since you’re there and they made a whole pot.
Yep. This is true for many things. Mediocre equipment gets you to a certain point and you stagnate unless you upgrade to what you know you need.
Dunning-Kruger effect in full force.
Too true. The better you get, the less processing you’ll do.
Hahaha. The amount of time they post to forums for answers outweighs the time they actually experiment with the camera for a solution.
That’s the one category of photography I have a love/hate relationship with. It’s either an incredible moment in a city, or utter garbage. Also, fuck those rude, intrusive photographers that rudely snap a flash photo 6” from someone’s face in public to try and make it edgey.
Reminds me of dream analysis. Did you dream of a peanut on a coffee table? Well, then, it’s clear that your inner child is being tormented in the darkest dungeon of your psyche…
I never bought into that. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn’t. Nothing wrong with just capturing a beautiful moment in all its simplicity.
Some incredible shots. Glad to see Adam Gibbs’ name for third place.
Nothing makes you hate something faster than school.
I’ve done a bunch of negatives from the 80’s and 90’s. Get a flatbed scanner that can do it. You pop em in a special tray, scan, and voila, digitized in color. It’s wild to see what comes out.
Shitstagram and Flickr.
Been using it since 2005. There are some great photos there, plus I get 200 times the views I get on instagram.
