Holy Hand Grenade*
Can confirm Fall Guy was very solid, didn’t think it was gonna be anything memorable but we ended up really liking it.
Your favorite of all of them? Really? I’m honestly curious because I found it pretty terrible, in the vein of crystal skull more than the OGs. In my view it was all over the place, didn’t tell a cohesive story, and dragged on for at least 45 minutes longer than it should’ve. I’m having trouble even recalling what the movie was even about and it’s only been a couple months.
I’ll keep an eye on this. I use discord exclusively for gaming purposes, and voice chat is pretty important for that bc I’m still on console mostly for the next year or so (building a pc finally, thanks to a new job). So if they can get that going, I could convince several people to switch once I’m also on PC. Till then discord for my PS5 is about the best I can hope for.
You mean besides being an uber controlling cult that embezzles millions if not billions of dollars?
Also Book of Mormon is excellent, highly encourage you to go see it! There’s not a bad seat in the house for Broadway.
This is a super weird hill to die on imo. Obviously, Heavenly is at fault here, but choosing to rely solely on others by not bringing your cell is also a decision that she made that worked out poorly.
Sure, you can break your phone falling, but I’d much rather risk a broken phone than being stuck somewhere without it, or getting lost off piste or something and only having my voice to call for help.
You claim “LOTS” of people don’t bring theirs, but I’d guess that’s still a tiny minority of people on the mountain overall. I tend to get over 20 days a year and go with a pretty sizeable crew, literally no one leaves their phone in the car because then you can’t find anyone if you get separated, you can’t listen to music, you can’t take sweet pics/vids, you can’t call ski patrol if you or someone with you gets hurt (obviously you can still go find them but calling is faster if you have service).
Went to watch thinking “this is gonna be terrible, can’t wait” but now I’m just thinking “can’t wait.”
Could still be terrible, but could also be good.
I think that makes it kinda perfect for a government vehicle lol
Thanks for asking, OP. I’m in a similar boat, except I don’t even have a computer to get started with yet, only an old phone if I wanted to use that (not trying to do things on my daily). Thinking of buying a raspberry pi and diving in but dunno where to start.
Have plex and someone kind enough to share their library with me, but it doesn’t have everything I want. Could be worse tho, I suppose.
So ridiculous, it’s a wonderful new coming of age story. I’m very sad it’s over.
I mean, isn’t this the wrong way to approach it from the jump? Science isn’t a matter of belief, but of understanding.
It’s not, do you believe in gravity, it’s do you understand gravity (to whatever degree). It should then also be, do you understand climate change?
Framing it as a matter of belief falls right into the the hands of the anti science people.
This guy Friedenbach sounds like he knows his shit.
It’s harsh but I agree, seems like not seeing the forest. This money probably could’ve saved more people were it used more efficiently. Are we gonna do netting around every tall thing in this world?
It’s ears all the way down, and as you can imagine it gets tough to shave the nooks and crannies!
If anyone has a recommendation for one for head shaving, I’m all ears!
Very interesting, I see. And frightening more than the marked creature would probably be a bit OP.
Very cool! I’m sending this to my DM for a possible character in my next campaign. I do wonder if the shout could also inspire allies, as that seems pretty olympian to me, but that may be brushing too close to zealot and such.
Holy fuckin whoosh, Batman!
Idek what TOS is lol the original series? My dad is an OG trekkie and had us watch some of that as kids but he didn’t try very hard to get us into it and hasn’t been following much of the new stuff either.
The problem with this argument is it only works for people who show up to vote, and if the Dems don’t get people, particularly young people, inspired enough to do so, then they’ll lose. Fear only works as a motivator for so long, at some point, you need to provide a carrot and not just the stick.
